Incident Description
Memorial Dr. At Birdsall (1 Block East Of Westcott)
6/5/2005
Thomas Badgwell
It happened around 7:15am on Sunday June 5. I was cycling West on Memorial Dr. in the right lane at about 20 mph when a car pulled out in front of me heading North on Birdsall. I crashed into his window and bounced onto the pavement with a broken collarbone. The driver stopped to make sure I was okay, and several runners (who didn't actually see the crash) came over to call the cops and an ambulance. But the driver is apparently unwilling to take responsibility for causing the wreck, since he told the cops that I was on the sidewalk! I'm hoping to find someone who witnessed this accident in case I need to take legal action. If you saw this one or know someone who might have, please email me at tbadgwell@houston.rr.com. Thanks, Tom
Memorial Park Loop

David O. Wallace
My brother was riding the Memorial Park Loop Sunday morning, June 5 at approximately 9 am when an unleashed dog darted in front of him, resulting in a serious accident requiring surgery. There were a number of cyclists that witnessed the accident. A possibly Hispanic man with two unleashed dogs, a yellow lab and a dark/black dog of the same size left the scene without providing his name and contact information as requested. He may be in his 40s, has a full beard with some gray in it and was wearing a tank top & shorts. I am contacting Houston area bicycling clubs in hope that someone may have gotten the man's license plate number so he can be identified. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.
